Project: Beverly Hills High School, B3/B4 Modernization Amendment 8 Utilities

The Beverly Hills High School Modernization Project started with the modernization of the B1/B2 buildings in September 2018 and completed in June 2021. The B3/B4 Modernization project consists of the seismic upgrades and modernization of existing buildings at Beverly Hills High School, which were primarily constructed in the late1920’s, with minor modifications and additions throughout the years. The modernized buildings will consist of Peter’s Auditorium, Salter’s Theater, Classrooms, Music Rooms, Workshops, Offices, and Collaboration Spaces. Buildings B3 and B4 comprise approximately 30,747 and 41,074 square feet, respectively.

The Amendment 08 project is a subset of the B3/B4 project. It encompasses rerouting underground utility lines that would be in conflict with future Building C and athletic spaces. This project also encompasses site work below Building B4 which includes a new handicap accessible walkway from Building B4.

The Oil Well Remediation project will permanently cap and seal the three legacy wells located in the softball field, cap and seal the former Venoco oil well located between the softball field and Olympic Blvd, remove all old structures associated with the oil wells, and remove and replace all contaminated soil in the direct areas around the oil wells. The total construction value is $146,117,439
